Instagram, the popular audio and video sharing platform owned by Meta, is reportedly working on a new feature. This feature will allow users to post other people’s profiles as a story.
According to a recent post by tipster Alessandro Paluzzi on X (formerly Twitter), when profiles are posted as stories, they will show the person’s first three posts and information like their profile name and bio.
This feature will work similar to the existing ‘Add to Story’ option and will let users follow the profile that is shared as a story.
With this new feature, users will be able to give a shout-out to their favorite creators by posting their profiles as stories. It will also help the audience know what type of content these creators produce.
Paluzzi also mentions that there will be a ‘view profile’ button, allowing users to easily see the shared profile with a tap. This feature could be beneficial for small content creators who are just starting on Instagram, as it can help increase their reach and get more views.
Similar to photos and videos posted as stories, the shared profiles will likely disappear after 24 hours. Since this feature is still in development, it is unclear when users will be able to add profiles to their stories. You may have to wait for some time before this option becomes available on your account.
