Telegram is introducing a new feature called “Stories,” which is similar to Instagram’s version of the same name. Telegram CEO Pavel Durov said that users have been requesting the feature for a long time, and more than half of all feature requests are for Stories. 

Telegram’s Stories will let users add captions, links, tag other users, and choose the expiration period. The feature will be accessible in early July after completing the final testing phase. Stories will be placed in an expanded section at the top of a user’s chat list. Users can control who can view their stories and decide when they will expire.
