Twitter has announced a significant development, stating that it has merged with Elon Musk’s everything ‘X’ app.
Twitter quietly disclosed its demise in a court filing in the United States. “Twitter Inc. has been absorbed by X Corp. and is no longer in existence. X Corp. is a privately held corporation incorporated in Nevada and headquartered in San Francisco, California “the filing mentioned.
When he was finalizing the purchase of Twitter in October of last year, he reiterated that X remains his long-term business plan. “Buying Twitter accelerates the development of X, the everything app,” Musk tweeted.
“Twitter probably accelerates X by 3 to 5 years,” he adds, “but I could be wrong.”
Musk wants to create a WeChat like app
Previously, Musk expressed interest in developing an app with comprehensive features similar to China’s WeChat.
During a podcast, he stated that the United States requires a super app.
“Either convert Twitter to that format or start something new. It has to happen in some way “He stated.
“If you live in China, YouChat is your life. It can do everything. It’s like Twitter plus PayPal plus a bunch of other things rolled into one, with a great interface. It’s a fantastic app, and we don’t have anything like it outside of China “Musk revealed this to podcast listeners last year.
Musk co-founded X.com, an online bank that was later merged to form PayPal, in 1999.
