Twitter now requires users to log in or create an account to access any content on its platform, including tweets and user profiles. Users Must Have an Account to View Tweets. Users who are not registered on Twitter will be unable to browse through threads or view any public tweets.
According to Elon Musk, the owner of Twitter, this is a temporary measure to address aggressive data scraping from several hundred organizations. Twitter’s technical mishaps and changes to the platform have led to complaints from users, including those who pay for API access. Twitter’s advertising revenue has also plummeted by 59% compared to the previous year. While some features still remain available to non-paying users, the company is expected to introduce more paid features to generate revenue.
