What Does TWT on Twitter mean?

Have you ever been curious about what the letters TWT on Twitter stand for? The abbreviations and acronyms used on Twitter are an unusual mix of text slang, phrases from older chat rooms, common sense short forms, and business buzzwords. When you read a customer tweet, it is one of the most disheartening experiences possible to discover that something you once believed was a compliment was actually a criticism of the product or, even worse, a reference to a drug. What follows below is not quite a complete dictionary of all things Twitter.com; nevertheless, it does include the definition of TWT on Twitter and a number of often-used Twitter acronyms that are important for you to be aware of.

History of TWT

This abbreviation, which stands for “Time Will Tell,” has been used often in text messages ever since the early 2000s. Since then, the acronym ‘twt’ has been used for one additional case known as ‘The Window Thing,’ but only under the most exceptional circumstances. A select group of college students who entered an elite institution, thanks to athletic scholarships, continued to struggle academically. They came up with a strategy to help them maintain grades that were above the class average and avoid suspension

They talked with one another through text messages, saying things like, “Hey man, I need to do twt.” The plan was referred to as “The Window Thing,” and it involved one of them helping the other climb through a window into an office in order to change their grades. They were the only ones who were caught because the janitor happened to walk in on one of them while he was halfway into the office via the window one night, and upon hearing the commotion, his partner gave him a boost and ran away, leaving the poor guy stuck halfway in the window with nowhere to run. This is how they were caught. To generate a crying emoji on most chat sites, including Tumblr, you can also use the symbol “twt.”
