WhatsApp has introduced a new feature that allows users to send instant video messages directly in the chat. This builds on the success of the voice message feature, which revolutionized communication by providing a quick and secure way to share your voice.
With the new video messaging feature, users can respond to chats in real-time with a 60-second video that captures the emotion and context of the moment. Whether it’s wishing someone a happy birthday, sharing a joke, or delivering good news, videos are a fun way to share moments.
How to send video messages?
Sending a video message is as easy as sending a voice message. Users can switch to video mode with a tap and hold to record the video. Alternatively, they can swipe up to lock and record the video hands-free. Videos will play automatically on mute when opened in a chat, and tapping on the video will start the sound. The feature is also protected with end-to-end encryption to ensure message security.
Video messaging has begun rolling out and will be available to all users in the coming weeks.
