WhatsApp Introduces 'Secret Codes'

WhatsApp is introducing a new feature called “secret codes” to make it easier for users to access their locked chats. Currently, locked chats are hidden in the main chat list and require a two-swipe process to access. With the secret codes feature, users can set a custom code or even use an emoji as a secret code for their locked chats. They can then enter the secret code in the search bar to quickly find and unlock the desired chat. This feature is currently being tested in the beta version of WhatsApp.

However, it’s important to note that the chat lock feature is currently only available on the primary device and not on companion devices. WhatsApp is working on bringing the chat lock feature to companion devices in the future, but it’s unclear if it will be available on WhatsApp Web. The web version of WhatsApp often receives updates later compared to the mobile app.
