WhatsApp Releases Update To Fix Sorting Chats Issue On Android Beta

The messaging platform owned by Meta has released a bug-fix update for its Android beta version to address a problem with sorting chats. According to WABetaInfo, the issue prevented the chat list from refreshing when a new message was received, causing the conversation with the most recent message to not appear at the top of the conversation list.

The only temporary fix for the problem was to close and reopen WhatsApp, but the issue could reoccur. Several users noted that the update had been installed automatically, likely due to the auto-download setting on the Google Play Store.

The bug-fix update for WhatsApp beta version 2.23.16.7 for Android has resolved the previously mentioned issue, allowing users to use the messaging app without experiencing the problem.
