Facebook Live is becoming increasingly popular. It has been available since 2016. According to Fidji Simo, the Head of the Facebook App, its broadcasts have increased year over year. There were 3.5 billion broadcasts in 2018. That equates to roughly half of the world’s population. Unfortunately, Facebook often fails to function properly, preventing you from going live. This might be caused by a number of issues, such as account errors, app caches, internet connection, phone storage, and so on. Most of the time, the underlying cause is the poor (slow and/or unstable) Internet connection from which you are attempting to go live.

What is Facebook live?
Facebook users can stream live videos. The feature is pretty entertaining. You may begin the live broadcast on Facebook in just a few steps. When you begin a live broadcast, a notification is sent to all of your friends, and everyone is instantly invited. Those who watch your live stream can join in the chat. They can even send different emoticons. The number of persons viewing the live session can be seen on the screen by the live broadcaster. You can converse with viewers either verbally or in writing. You can even run a Facebook poll during your live meetings.
Why can’t I go live on Facebook anymore?
As previously said, the problem is most likely your connection; for the greatest results, you need a fast and consistent Internet connection. Things may go wrong when you least expect them to:
- Because your home ISP may be performing maintenance, the Internet may be very slow, if not completely unavailable.
- Your Wi-Fi router and/or modem may experience temporary issues.
- If you use mobile data Internet, there might be a problem with the cell tower. You might also have exceeded your data plan for 4G / 5G speeds.
Whatever the source, it’s frustrating that most of us can’t rely on our Internet connection and can’t go live on Facebook.
How to fix the issue?
- Improve Your Connection: There are several ways to increase overall internet speed and stability:
- Invest in a reliable internet service: If you can’t go live on Facebook anymore, you might consider upgrading your internet service. This might be costly, but it can pay off nicely if you make a living from live streaming.
- Get the proper equipment: If at all possible, use a wired (Ethernet) connection rather than a wireless (Wi-Fi, cellular) connection. A wired connection increases your chances of going live on Facebook and prevents connectivity problems.
- Maintain a secondary internet connection: You’ve got a fantastic internet package in place. But what if it doesn’t work because they’re experiencing infrastructural issues? Always be prepared! Get another internet connection, so you have something to fall back on.
