X Rolls Out Audio and Video Calling

The social media platform X, previously known as Twitter, is introducing an early version of video and audio calling for some users.

Elon Musk, the chief technology officer and owner, wants X to become an “everything app.” Musk posted on the platform, giving instructions to users on how to enable the feature, referring to it as an “Early version of video & audio calling on X.”

This new functionality is part of several changes and additions to the platform since Musk acquired it about a year ago. After rebranding Twitter as X, Musk aims to transform it into a super-app, offering various services like messaging, social networking, and peer-to-peer payments. Musk teased the feature back in August, mentioning that users would not require a phone number, and it would be available on iOS, Android, and personal computers.
